Have wanted to do this for ages. Starting at the moment with the world upside down might be bonkers but just about to venture out for my first run. Yikes! Feeling nervous

It beats daytime TV if you’re amongst the confined to barracks masses 🤣

Welcome to the forum and the plan.

Bonkers... maybe, but I think all runners are in touch with their inner crazy a little!

Please take some time to read the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... it contains 99% of what you need. The other 1% is a combination of you crossing the start lines and us cheering you on... come talk to us lots, if you have a bad day out there we can help a lot... and if you have a great run, we will be your cheerleading squad.

Always remember there is no too slow... there is a too fast... go as slowly as it takes, keep crossing the start lines and you will succeed.

You can do this... enjoy your journey.

Well done! Good to see others are starting this now. It seemed strange out but I sang along to the music. Few odd looks!!

Just back and feel good that I did it. Last two runs took effort but didn’t give up. So nice to come back and see messages of support. Thanks in this weird time!

That run tried to kill me 8 times... great job completing it... it gets easier!

I think living in our bonkers world at the moment is a great incentive to get out there. How did you get on?

I’ve just done my second training session and feel great.. a lot easier then I thought but the muscles on the back of my legs hurt more when I’m walking then when I’m running.. hope this gets better... also running in a treadmill for the time being as I live on a main road and not easy walking in there..

I had same and did simple stretching calf muscle for 20 seconds each time and it did help
