Week 4: Hurrah week 4 done and dusted ,wish I... - Couch to 5K
Week 4
Don't let it scare you. You have been doing 16 minutes of running all week, you just didn't realise it. Of all the runs I think that was my favourite because it 'stitches' together all the short runs you've been doing and feels like 'proper' running. The sense of achievement when you reach the end is amazing. Enjoy week 5 and celebrate when you finish run 3
Run 2 for me tomorrow, my minds ok with 2x8 mins, but 20 all in one go...sheesh
Lol yeah that 20 min will be a tester that’s for sure but we’ll do it ,good luck
You've hit the nail on the head, Rigsy. Your legs will be fine but the gremlins in your head will be trying to stop you. Tell them to b****r off. You can both do it!
Ive only gone and done it! First 10 mins were ok, figured id done 8, so no bother, the next five was battling the mind barrier, but when I was told there was only 5 mins left, I wasn't giving in... breathing was ok, but got a few more aches than normal, but what the hell....I've done it, mind over matter as they say.... let me know how you get on..
Fantastic well done I did my first run last night after work to to honest it was ok on to the 8 mins
i just did it! Couldn't believe just how easy it was..... just do it, dont over think it! Youve done the training, its actually easier than stopping.... and i never EVER thought id say that!
If you want to run for thirty minutes, then you have to run for lesser durations as well........why be scared?
This breakdown of W5 may help put it into perspective healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
You can do this
Ran week 5 run 2 done last night after work quite difficult to get the runs in on night shift .onto the the 20 min run tomorrow
