When I started this at the beginning of the year. But I’ve completed W9R3 so am now a graduate! I followed the plan to the second, but for the last run I decided to keep going for another 5 minutes to reach the 5k milestone.
To all those at the beginning of the journey, I read these graduation posts when I was where you are and thought it was laughable that I could do it. I’m so glad that I reached out to this community, you are all amazing and I cannot thank you enough for giving me the belief.
I thought it would get exponentially harder as the times increased and I would reach my limit. But the truth is, it doesn’t get harder, but you do get stronger and you’ve given yourself an amazing gift. With all that’s going on at the moment, running is going to help keep me sane.
Now to try not to feel too lost and to plan what I am going to do next, and research my graduation present to myself, some wireless headphones! Happy running everyone, it’s a great day for it 😀

Congratulations on graduating and also hitting the 5k milestone! Fantastic!!! I also think that running improves our cardio fitness, including (I assume) respiratory capacity. So its a great way to improve our resilience if we get sick. Keep running!!
Good plan to treat yourself to a pair of wireless earphones, you deserve them.
I got a lovely pair at Xmas, and love using them listening to music or podcasts while running. I also have set up on Fitbit that it shouts out my pace ( or lack of 🤣) every km I run.
Well done again and happy running 🏃♀️ 🏃♂️👍
Many Congratulations Katie3456,
I agree the programme and this community is amazing and I’m so glad we all found our way here and that we have this right now.
Fantastic you reached your 5k, a huge achievement, I can imagine myself at the end of next week adding on a 5 minutes if I’m anywhere near that goal but am learning to accept things as they come and not push too hard.
All the very best for your future days as a seasoned runner, enjoy, enjoy enjoy 😊🤗
