Completed my first week one run at the weekend, went out at 6 in the morning to avoid anyone seeing me. A lot harder than I thought it would be but I felt energised for the rest of the day

Very well done Michael for staring the programme.

The first few weeks particularly are quite hard, but please stick with it as it is so worthwhile.

I felt exactly the same as you at the start, almost everyone does I reckon.

The programme is really well thought out, stick with it and I hope that like me your faith in it ( and yourself) will increase as you go on.

You will also get all the support you need on this forum.

I also predict in a while you won’t be bothered about who sees you out running... regardless of your shape, size, or speed.

Slow and steady is the way to go. You don’t need to run fast at all.

Happy running 🏃‍♂️ 👍

That energised feeling is great isn't it? It really does stay with you through the day and the buzz you get from your run gets quite addictive. It's what makes you come back for more!

The first run is the hardest and you've done it. Well done 👍🏼😊.

This forum is a great place to come for support, advice and encouragement. Keep posting on here to share your progress and we will cheer you on!

Yeah this week I have competed week one it has took me longer than a week to do through work commitments. Even though I'm working mostly from home now I'm still busy but have more time. It's getting easier but still hard.
