Feeling very sad and depressed when I started this run because like everyone else I am in a state of shock at how my life has imploded as a result of the virus. I just can’t believe this is happening but it is and I know we will get through but it’s very very sudden. But the running is really great because you concentrate on putting one foot in front of the other. I am not a natural runner. I have really short legs and was hopeless at games at school. However I have completed week two. Big celebration.
Finished week 2: Feeling very sad and depressed... - Couch to 5K
Finished week 2
Brilliant - well done! And you are right - running helps to clear out those negative thoughts. Keep it up!!
Strange days indeed - I think many feel as you do edwardkerrison . So glad to hear you have completed Week 2. 💪🙂 I think 'one foot in front of the other' is very apt at the moment. Stay safe and good luck.🙂
You are well on your way
Believe me, there are a LOT of us graduates here who "never could run" - but that is who the programme is for?
We might run on our own - but thanks to this forum we don't run alone. We all started on day one without truly believing we'd make a proper go of it.
So, please don't worry, you are not terminally unique - stick with it, slow and steady and yes - one foot in front of the other - and you too will have the "graduate" badge beside your name. Took me over four months, so don't worry about time, it's about just doing the hardest distance of all - from the couch to your front door. After that, the runcwill go as it goes, but every run takes you further from the sofa
Wishing you many happy miles in your future
Well done for completing W2. Focusing on one step at a time is a good way to get through! Good luck moving forwards.
How did you find it compared to week 1? xxx
A big celebration indeed, for completing week 2 means you are 2/9 of the way there! Keep thinking positive thoughts and enjoy your running.😊
Yay! Well done! I’m the same, my anxiety is going into overdrive but running is helping to keep it under control. Let us know how your next run goes.
