Can't believe that I have completed Week 2 - for someone who has never run I am amazed - I also feel so good! I tend to suffer with anxiety and depression, but since I have taken up Couch to 5K I have been really upbeat. Today I confessed to my partner just what I get up to when he is out digging the allotment ( I wanted to make sure that I could do the running first, incase I wimped out). I kinda expected him to say "What the hell do you want to do that for!" but he said that he admired me, and that he should be doing it too! So watch this space you may have another convert! Looking forward to week 3.

Week 2 finished
Congratulations on your runs , keep up the good work & enjoying the benefits of running
You are AMAZING! Well done for doing this because you're right, it will really make you feel so much better - especially if you suffer depression on occasion. Running can be your saviour as it has been for so many of us and the benefits are fantastic. Keep it steady, keep it slow and keep it going because in 7 weeks time you'll be running 30 minutes non stop!
Well done on completing week 2. Running (as with most good exercise) releases endorphins which make you feel good so it will help with things like depression. You are lucky to have a good partner who clearly wants the best for you. Keep up the good work. Good luck with Week 3 and very best wishes.
Well done Lottidog ! I too suffer from depression and Ive found that completing a run does make me feel so much better , in fact on top of the world This site is great, full of very supportive people, there is always someone around who can help, all the very best to you and well done ! xx
great to hear you're benefitting from the runs. I also experience anxiety and depression and I took C25K up more for my mental health than my physical health. I'm on week 6 now and my mood has really lifted. I actually look forward to my running days! Keep up the good work
