I had a busy day and when I finally got in I had a bit of a sugar low and mistakenly thought I'd just have a few bits of chocolate orange to sort me out 😳 I expect there's a few people out there who know where this story's heading so I won't go on 🤭 except to say it was delicious 😋 and the good news is there are no more snacks in the house now. I also knew I'd be running today which is another story.
I mistakenly thought because I'd done a few 'longer' runs (by my standard) that the Week 4 Magic 10 30 minute run would be fairly ok. Another lesson learnt - don't think! I'd had my ramekin of porridge with a banana and was all set. I got out and came back for my gloves. It was very cold. Had my Strava going along with my new podcast 'Table Manners'. Towards the end of my run I was going over in my mind what IannodaTruffe had said in reply to one of my earlier posts, about variables - how anything can be the one thing that makes your run difficult to you. I don't know what it was today. I was even thinking it could possibly be that my tee shirt was too thick 🤦♀️ What I do know is every run is different and not always in a good way. Here's to the next one 🙂
Have a good weekend everyone!

I totally get you on the “it could even be the t shirt” thing. I have a bit of a running uniform, and if something isn’t available it’s panic mode! But then again maybe it was the revenge of the chocolate orange 🍫🍊
Whatever, it was one of those runs, we all have them. Well done for completing it 😁
The ups and downs of running 59er it's different every time 🥴 the occasions I've got my layers wrong, forgotten gloves etc jeesh I think I'm just about getting it right..., Nearly
My best run so far (I'm only wk3run2) was at the end of a day filled with donuts, burgers, and milkshakes. I normally have a healthy diet. Yesterday I had my protein shake, pretzels, grilled chicken, and veggies. My run last night was pretty bad. I don't get it!? I def. think it was your shirt and not the chocolate orange (which reminds me I have one in my fridge... yum!). Just keep going! Next run will be better (maybe?!)
Oooo, I like a chocolate orange 59er ...the only time I have some is if I pinch a segment of one of my children because, like you, if I opened one I would finish it without a doubt!!! I had a bit of a crappy run yesterday and I used to stress so much about them but actually, you know what? Crappy run or not, it was a run and that's whet I have to make myself remember and so do you ;-))
Yes, unfortunately I do have a sweet tooth and I'm an ' all or nothing' kind of gal. Sometimes I just get the munchies for chocolate. I'm trying to eat less meat and more plant based - can you grow chocolate? 🤔
I think it’s an age thing as I sometimes mistake a Chocolate bar for a low calorie energy bar, so easily done, but hey the impact would be so much worse if we weren’t running! My daughter in law always measures her runs by chocolate much more fun than Strava!!
