Ran last night and only ended up getting out the door at quarter to 10 and the whole way I just felt like my dinner was sitting way too heavily. ๐ I'd planned to go out as soon as I got home, but then one thing after another conspired to prevent me. I think I'm going to have to try going out at 6am next week instead.
I nearly ditched it for the day entirely but you know what stopped me? The thought that I wouldn't be able to post on here! Not that the C25K police are checking up on me or anything but I guess I've just decided to post up each run here and it's working as a way of keeping me accountable, even if it is all fictional!
So to any other newbies out there - post your runs! Keep yourself accountable!
Weekend tomorrow - happy running!

Absolutely keep posting. You know what go easy on yourself in these early week as you will be learning about what works for you and trying different things. Youโll soon find a structure that will suit you. I would say exercise at least 2-3 hours after a lunch or dinner meal as they tend or be heavier and make you slump a bit.
๐คฃknow what you mean! The c25k police may be fictional but this place really makes you want to stay accountable ๐ I could never have completed it first time without here. Thatโs why Iโm back ๐ Nowt like a kick up the bum ( northern slang) on here to spur you on. Good luck ๐ Juggling family, work and โyouโ is hard, keep at it though ๐
Well done you.... it is hard to get out when life conspires against you...Early running is fabulous and sets you up for the day...it is getting lighter and the days are beginning to stretch...
Set your gear out the night before... plan the route and you are good to go,
Ha, running on top of dinner is a real challenge but you did it, posting runs especially in the early days is fun isnโt it? and later itโs motivating for new runners
๐ฎโโ๏ธGood for you for getting out there. I'm always full of admiration for folk who run through complicated lives and commitments. I never managed it when I was working.
I know how you feel. I'm on w2r3 tomorrow. It's so easy to say sack it I'll go tomorrow. I can't run after eating so it forces me to go as soon as I get home. Well done you for still getting out! Stay determined! It will pay off
I can't run in the evening I feel too knackered. Always run in the morning big drink of water and a banana and of I go. When I drag myself out of bed I often think this is madness but the the runs done I feel great. Keep going! X
Well done for getting out there, I agree with oldfloss that going first thing in the morning can work really well once it gets lighter. Oldfloss is very wise you know! Just try a few different things to see what's best for you.
Thanks grumpyoldgirl - yeah, will definitely try an early morning next week. Not looking forward to getting out at 6am though ๐ will have to go to bed early on Wed night!
