I definitely had a mental rather than physical block on going to 25 minutes. I keep repeating the run previous even though I had done the 20min one a few times a few weeks ago (I’m taking my time on the whole thing due to obstacles cropping up) - BUT I can honestly say when Jo told me I was half way through I was gobsmacked and when she said just 60 seconds to go, I was elated. Felt gooooood! I know now that half an hour is within my reach! That was yesterday and today I have a pleasing but not terrible muscle ache. We got this.
Finally! W6R3 in the bag!: I definitely had a... - Couch to 5K

Good run for you today VicSurt, do you know something, I'll tell you now, you are NOW offically a runner, congratulations, you took that run nice a gently, onwards and upward to week 7.
I like the idea of repeating runs, but during my first few posts I was told to just get on and move on (I paraphrase). I did week 3 twice. I can’t think that slowing things down is a bad thing. I planned to do a first park run with my wife, who hasn’t even started the program yet, so no pressure for me. No aches and pains post runs for me either.😀
Week 7 for us both then, and we know it’s doable. I have felt since week 4 that the goal is achievable. Every run fills you with confidence. At the beginning of the run, I thought about where on the circuit I’d finish, that filled me with doubt. Had I known I’d underestimated the distance........well....... . But well done us high 5 🤚
