Well done. I graduated in July and only did my first park run on Saturday and loved it. It has made me want to do more events, and given my solo runs a new sense of focus.
I absolutely love it and I have become a member of the core team for our junior parkrun as well and got my five year old involved ... only been going 4 weeks but we had 150 kids this weekend! Amazing to see them all enjoying it 😊
Congratulations on your graduation! Feels fantastic, doesn't it? As for tips, I'm still very much a newbie runner, so I don't feel qualified to give you any advice, but I'm happy to tell you what *I* did, which might help you create your own plan:
13 June = my C25K graduation run (30 min - 4k)
5 subsequent runs at 32 min each (final distance - 4.2k)
5 runs at 34 min each (final distance - 4.6k)
3 runs at 35 min each (final distance - 4.7k)
3 runs at 38 min each (this last 38-min run was today's run, when I finally hit 5k!)
