Hi everyone. I did my first run yesterday and I made it! But it was hard, still only to be expected I guess.

Thanks Delly-dot. Yeah I guessed the first would probably be the worst. It's been a while since I did any exercise. Thanks

Have a look at this clip on slow running. Lots of forum members have used it, me included. It is really helpful in guiding you to set an easy running pace.

Thabks very much for sending me this. I have had quite a few replies saying that I need to make sure the pace isn't too fast so I will try slowing it down on my next run tomorrow.

Well done on choosing Couch to 5k and welcome to the forum! πŸ™‚ You may find it useful to click on the homepage link on How to run Couch to 5k - lots of useful tips and information.

When running, remember that if it feels too hard, it is ok to slow down! πŸ‘πŸ™‚ Completing the timed intervals of running is more important than pace, especially in the early days when you are starting to build up that fitness.

Keep posting here for lots of encouragement and support and just to share the experience with others - we're a friendly bunch! Good luck with your next run! πŸ™‚

Absolutely! And when you catch the running bug and start to bore everyone around you with running talk - this is also a great place to come! πŸ˜‰I used to look forward to posting my progress here and found it really helped me get out there and through my runs sometimes!πŸ™‚
