I have just returned indoors after completing run 3 of week 9. Full of a cold, I didn't feel in any way motivated to do it. The weather, though very blustery, was dry, yet again. Running kit on I forced myself to go outdoors. It never felt comfortable, but I achieved my aim. I have been determined this programme wouldn't force me to falter. Having been in a number of group runs, I am envious of those who actually enjoy the running. I don't. I'm just damned stubborn that I would complete the programme then do at least a few 5K park runs.

Well done! Definitely determination getting you through! ๐๐๐๐
๐Well done! You deserve to celebrate your achievement! I hope you continue to do your park runs and hopefully start to enjoy it a bit more. You've great determination to stick at something that you haven't enjoyed, so hat's off to you Tom-cat ๐ .
Well done on completing the program - although it is ok to take a break when you are unwell you know!
Here's hoping that you are able to enjoy your running more over time - we all need a bit of discipline to get out some days but it is much harder if it feels like a chore! Maybe try slowing down or mixing up your routes/running terrain a bit? I love trails personally. Either way, good luck! ๐
Congratulations on your graduation, fellow runner.

If you are not enjoying it, try slowing down.
It doesn't have to be a race.
Keep running, keep smiling.
The enjoyment factor is not linked to speed. I'm only completing 4.5k in the scheduled 20 minutes. It's simply, running is not a pleasing past time. The act of running doesn't provide any positive stimulus, bar the actual completion. If you are lucky enough to develop some enjoyment from the actual running, count yourself lucky. Some of us do not. We are all different.
Brilliant! Well done you ๐ฃ๐ฃ๐ฃ
