5k is still taking me about 35 mins. Am planning to try the c25k+ podcast to bring up speed.
Any other tips for getting to a sub-30 min 5k?

35 minutes for many is a dream, it's not slow, if you do want to run a 5K in 30 minutes or less, just take all the runs slowly with the +C25K podcasts and gradually you will quicken up to that magic sub 30 minute 5k. 😊 🏃🏾
Wow 35 minutes is amazing, the first 5k took us 52 minutes and a sore calf, we’ve trimmed it down some but may never run as fast as you
Congratulations on your graduation, fellow runner.
This guide to post C25k running may be helpful healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes links to articles about speeding up............which basically say slow down, for most of your runs.
Keep running, keep smiling.
I did Squats TB. I started with 3x5 reps on my non run days, they are tough to start with, but I stuck with them, and increased up to 3x 20 ! My legs just got stronger and I got my 5k time down to 24-24 ! Also helped longer runs in my opinion, I did my graduation run of 5k and just kept going . . . All the way to 10k !!!! In 54mins ! I was absolutely shocked but felt so good I just kept running.
Not bad for a 49 and 345day old bloke who hadn’t run for over 30 years .
I love C25K, it has changed my life. 😬
What’s a squat TB? 🧐
A squat is a strength exercise in which the trainee lowers his or her hips from a standing position and then stands back up. During the descent of a squat, the hip and knee joints flex while the ankle joint dorsiflexes; conversely the hip and knee joints extend and the ankle joint plantarflexes when standing up.
That’s from wiki 🤪
Congratulations! Well done you. 👏👏👏🥳🥳🥳 Love the picture too.
To run fast, you first need to do lots of slow. 🐌
Congratulations 🥳🙌🏻👊🏻🥳🤸♂️
35 minutes sounds pretty good to me, but slower = longer runs which should enable shorter faster ones, and interval training......
