Fun while it lasted.... :-(

Well got to week 6.1, passed wk5.3. But I now have to call a halt to my C25K quest for now. During the rest period (storm denis) my planter facia turned up to say hi and won't go away again. Seems I need to refrain for about 6 weeks but even then it may return. Even KT tape can't fix this one it seems.

So today I am going to the gym to sign up and start using the equipment in there, primarly the bikes. Hopefully I can continue the progress in my health jogging has gave me these last 6 weeks. You never know, 6 weeks time I'll be back on here a fitter moree enthusaistic Stephen.

All ther best guys, and a bit of advice for all the newstarts. Everyboby says it. Get your pace right. It wont come easy. It took me to wk5.3 to realise how important it is and how to control it but it was worth it actually finishing the 20 minutes non stop. Basically, if you are running and think this is OK, you're going to fast slow down a tad.

Thanks for the support, It really meant a lot to me.

See you in 6 weeks hopefully

Stephen.

Bad luck but best to follow your physio's advice. That hurts! 😢

I got this problem years ago from doing too much digging on my allotment! It will go. Hope you stay on the forum to stay motivated to continue running in a few weeks and good luck at the gym.

Oh, it is so frustrating when injury gets in the way of progress, despite all the things we have done to try and prevent it. You are being wise. Allow yourself time to heal, and if it takes the 6 weeks or longer, no worry - C25k will be waiting for you when you are fit again.

I had to stop after w9r1 last summer with extensor tendonitis. I tried again in September but wasn't ready, however I'm back now and in the middle of week 7. My foot is holding out, but I am very mindful of pacing myself and taking each run one at a time.

You will be back, but in the meantime enjoy the gym and do give the Strength and Flex forum a try out too.

Good luck.

That is such a shame. But like Dellydot says, c25k will still be here waiting for you. Take care.

That hurt to read.. WK 9.1!!!! So close. Glad your back though as I will be. Going to use the gym to keep the endorphins up and boost my stamina. Going the save Wk9 for the road though. Slow and steady.

So sorry to hear that!

I can't recommend swimming highly enough (as everyone may have already noticed 😉).

Hope to see you back soon. Best wishes.
