First parkrun done

Ran my first parkrun yesterday on week 9 of using the app. Have to admit it was hideous, muddy, wet and nearly slipped over 3 times. So wanted to give up halfway through but made myself keep running till the end. My final time was 38:06, which given the conditions I was happy with. Normally busy on Saturday mornings so it’ll be a while before I do my next parkrun but hopefully by then I’ll be a bit quicker. Good luck all, running is hard but we’ve got this!

Congratulations on completing your first 5K parkrun in a sub 40 minute time of 38.06, you should be very proud of yourself considering the muddy conditions, I hope you continue to enjoy your runs 🏃🏾 👍.

Yay! Well done, welcome to the parkrun family, I think you chose to do your first parkrun in some of the toughest conditions! You should be very proud of yourself, numbers at some of my local ones were way down, so you were pretty hardy to get out there and do it!

Plus, you did it on leap day!

All times at parkrun are good times, hopefully your next one will be a bit less muddy!

Thanks, it’ll be a few weeks before I can do it again, here’s hoping that the ground dries out.
