Second run this evening, was not looking forward to it firstly because of the weather and secondly my quads were still delicate from first run.
Put my gear on with my bobble hat ,started my music and synced mapmyrun and went for it. even though it was still hard work I found around the mile mark it started getting easier.
Finished and felt that I could go more but baby steps is fine at mo.
Hopefully the muscle burn will ease with time. Off for a nice hot soak now

Just take your runs a little slower, that way your quads won't just be so sore, it takes a little while for your muscles to adjust to a new exercise like running, congratulations on starting C25K, drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration and any injuries, you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to.
Well done Gregob, this is a great programme and you’re doing really well.
As others have mentioned, slow and steady is the way to go initially. At first I found it difficult to pace myself and sometimes went off a bit fast. I’m now learning that the course really builds up our stamina to enable us to run for longer periods of time.
I’m going to try to improve my pace and distance after graduation.
Keep up the great work, and well done again. 👍💪🏃♂️
