Hmmmmm. That was harder than the last one for some reason. Prob because my legs were a bit stiff. Definately going to struggle I think with the three minute runs then longer but hey lots if graduates out there so I'll keep on going. Next one friday :))). My need my crampons though if the snow comes in

You are doing so well so don't feel disheartened by aches and pains, as long as they aren't serious they are all part of starting new exercise regime!
If you are struggling then try slowing down a bit until you feel more comfortable. I wasn't sure about this at first as I felt that if I slowed down any more, I'd be going more slowly than if I was walking, but as long as you are doing the 'running action', it still counts.
You could also try doing some stretches before and after the run to help loosen your muscles. If you've got the app then there are links to some on there which I've found really helpful.
Fingers crossed the snow doesn't materialise on Friday. Let us know how you get on after your next run and if you find it any easier.
Sometimes the second run is worse/harder than the first - maybe its because you've already had the great feeling of managing it first time? Keep it up - every week is a challenge and every week I've surprised myself - I'm sure you will too!
I always find the second run harder as well. My brain probably says "yes I've done this already" and my legs say "argghhh" You did it, that's the main thing. Well done and good luck for Friday, weather permitting.
Stretching immediately after every run, as recommended in the guide to the plan, nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/h... while muscles are still warm and supple, pulls out contractions, avoiding carrying tensions into the next run and also improves recovery by improving blood flow.
I have dodged knees and a healed broken ankle. I swear by the after run stretching. And running so slow, it’s more a shuffle jog, but keeps me off the IC
