For all of you lovely runners just starting out on your C25K journey, I just wanted to share what I've done since graduating last September...
I've entered two 5k races, run several 10k distances, ran 10 miles, set myself a challenge to run 50 miles in January (I did 62 miles in the end), just entered a10k race on 14th March and a Half Marathon on the 29th March!
I am not bragging! I am shocked and surprised at my achievements and wanted to share what is possible from my humble beginnings of starting C25K at the end of June 2019 to NOW.
I never told anyone I was doing C25K until I'd finished Week 5, for fear of failure! Now, I tell everyone!
Be proud of your achievements BIG or SMALL! Happy Running to you ALL ππ»ββοΈππΌββοΈππ½ββοΈππΎββοΈππΌββοΈπβ₯οΈπ

Wow thatβs amazing well done. I aspire to 10k and half marathon. 5k seemed impossible but Iβm on my way so I really hope I can get to where you are at some point. ππ you have inspired me π
And I think a little bragging is in order - that's some achievement in a short space of time βΊ it gives those of us coming on behind a lot of inspiration βΊ
That is awesome! Congratulations on your entry! I did the same and didn't tell anyone except my husband for a long time, needed to be sure it was not a flash in the pan! Am in for a 10k in May and then I am going to start thinking about 10 miles and half marathons and things... But already am eyeing up ultra marathons and thinking 'I wonder if I can....' then reminding myself that u have not run 10k yet, so probably better hold back on that idea!!
Fabulous post. Brilliant achievements in a very short space of time. Congratulations. Few of us have any idea when we start C25K just how much we are capable of, and how much we stand to gain from making that first step off the couch. Your story is a great inspiration for anyone new to the program π
Really sorry to hear about the crash! Hope you're alright?
Take it easy and don't rush to get back into week 6 as tempting as it is! Your body needs time to recover! Good luck with it and keep posting your progress xx
You are an absolute star Ali, itβs incredible what youβve achieved! Iβve been missing your posts, keep looking out for you on B210k and the Race forums...
π Don't know about being a Star β― Jazzyrunner but I could think of a few other words like, mad! π³
I haven't been posting that often recently, but I do read the posts on C25K, B210K and the Race forums regularly. And you seem to be also doing VERY well with your 10k training too! Keep up the awesome work you're putting in!
I'm still surprised by every run I do. Like this weekend...I ran 10.2 miles!π± I seem to open my mouth and the words just come out, like...Just drop me off here and I'll run back home! This weekend I got in my husbands car and said 'drive out to The Strines and I'll run home from there'. When I got home I realised I didn't have key and he was out! So I rang him and asked him to stay where he was and I'd run to meet him! Words just come out of my mouth!π€
Not sure if you will be able to see the route in the link? It says it's 11.9 miles, but I took a few short cuts! Happy running to you too my lovely VRB! β€οΈ
Give it a try! You won't be disappointed! I never know how far away I am from home, which is good, so I don't think about distance at all, I just know it's just about far enough βΊοΈ
I've got everything crossed for you!π You can do it!!!! xxx
Lovely. ππ You have clearly found a path that suits you. Iβm sure it will encourage a whole new group of C25k runners to keep at it. ππΌππΌππΌββοΈπ
