Like many others I am on week 7. Just finished run 1 and feel that it is now more a mental challenge than a physical one. Is this normal?

Week 7 all in the head?

I did W7R1 this morning and would agree that it's mind over matter now... I'm confident my body is able to achieve the other two runs this week and an extra three/five minutes running now doesn't seem anywhere near as daunting (though after pushing the last minute of the run today on Sarah's say so my legs were like jelly when I slowed to a walk! 😂)... Need to stay injury free now!
Yes defnotarunner I tweaked my calf last week and felt it going again today so relaxed the leg and avoided it. I must admit I did not speed up at the end but felt the last ten minutes was a lot easier than the first. I live on the coast in Wales so it was also nice not to be blown about today. Onwards to Wednesday and run 2
Very jealous you had less wind today, I'm in the west of Scotland and it was still gale force here this morning! Looking forward to the weather improving a bit! Though then the cycle path I run on will likely be far busier so I guess there are benefits to the bad weather! 😂
Finished W7R3 this morning felt good. How far into W7 are you now? It gets easier 👍
Just drying out from W7R3 now...wind and rain were horrendous and I'm slightly worried I may develop trench foot from having such wet trainers/socks (literally poured water out of them when I got back!) but I did 5.01km in the 35 minute session and managed to push it for the last minute!

Well done, and I definitely agree that the longer runs with no intervals are a mind game 👍😁
Completed W7R2. Easier than run 1 only 7 runs left starting to think I can do this 😊

Well done , you can do it 👍💪
Just finished run 3 week 8. Measured distance as 4.8km. Feeling awesome bring on week 9 🏃🏼♂️🏃🏼♂️💪

I just did W7R1 too. I agree, I think as far as the cardio-vascular side of things goes, I'm ready and confident for the rest of the programme - I just hope my knees hold out! I can get into a nice rhythm now, one out a bit to my music, and let the minutes go by. I'm looking forward to the rest of the runs! Good luck to you, and to everyone else too!
