So I competed the couch to 5k four weeks ago, and felt amazing. Never did I think I was going to be able to and read about people getting the bug to run. And here I am, so excited to be wanting to go out for my weekly runs and living in the Lake District near the peaks, the wind is grueling and rain constantly preventing me from getting outdoors. What does everyone else do if the weather is atrocious. I have thought of running around the house but not sure my carpet would be up to it lol!!!
On a separate note, Is it right to be increasing my distant 10% every three weeks? I want to run much further but also avoid injuries ? Thanks all

I am still progressing so I can’t help with the training advice I’m afraid. I just wanted to comment and say congratulations on finishing the programme!
As to the filthy weather, I’ve been running on a little folding treadmill I got from amazon. It’s not quite the same as being out in the beautiful dales, but at least it’s dry. 😂🙈
I'm retired so I try to arrange my running around the weather forecast, still not easy at the moment! I once tried the treadmill at the gym, but never again - it's not for me. I have done some extra cross training at the weekend. I like the elliptical trainer and the rowing machine. I'm also a swimmer and I've upped my 50 lengths twice a week to three times. Nothing really makes up for being able to get outdoors though. What a lovely place you have to run when the weather improves! Good luck.
I think I would try and brave the elements if at all possible, or find somewhere you can use a treadmill on an ad hoc basis if not. Don’t let it stop you altogether! 😁
