Feeling quite nervous about this! When I did my 20 minute run I felt the same. It was hard but I did it, hopefully I’ll manage this one too without stopping. 🀞🏻🀞🏻🀞🏻

You can do it! It’s only 5 minutes more. I felt nervous about doing 25 minutes but I managed it and you will too πŸ‘

Thank you ☺️

Yes, it’s only another 5 minutes.

I’m just going to focus on how I will feel after I’ve done my run......very smug πŸ™ŒπŸ»

Well done for getting this far in the plan.

Some of these later runs are hard and take some determination. But I think that's the point, finding them tough but getting through them is because you've built stamina.

So if you can do the run, however tough, you,see almost certainly ready to move on to the next run.

Good luck.

Take it slowly and just keep putting one foot in front of the other. You will do it!

I did it too! Felt so proud of myself, the first 10 minutes were tough but after that I actually enjoyed it. Can’t quite believe those words came out of my mouth! Well done to you too, such an achievement! It’s an amazing feeling isn’t it?! I never thought I would enjoy it so much 😊

I’m not sure I’m at the stage where I can say I enjoy it!

I enjoy finishing it and I enjoy feeling energised after!!

Just back myself. Yeah did it and pushed on for last minute. Think slow and easy is the key - left the body do its thing whilst the bit above the neck should just think of other things to pass the time! Well done to you too - never thought I could run 25 mins without stopping or dying!

Everything you’ve just said rings a bell with me. I too ramped it up in the last minute, didn’t realise I had it in me!!!

This is where my playlists made up of 5 minute long songs came in handy. It wasn't a 25 minute run, it was a 5 song run; I didn't even think about the time, I just kept singing along in my head all the way to the end.

FleetwoodShuttle profile image
FleetwoodShuttleGraduate in reply to sTrongFuse

That’s a great idea!

incho68 profile image

Nice thinking - think the mental side of running is very understated in all of this.

FleetwoodShuttle profile image
FleetwoodShuttleGraduate in reply to incho68

Totally agree.

The mind is so powerful and when I run it’s my mindset that keeps me going (or not!) not my legs.

Very very well done to FleetwoodShuttle and the others for getting through this one. Sounds like you have all done brilliantly πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

I am only a week or two ahead of you guys, but the further I go through the more my confidence in myself and the programme increases.

I honestly thought I’d never run for more than 8 mins a few weeks ago, but today I completed my 3rd 25 min run this week.

Slow and steady is the way to go.

Keep up the great work , you can do it.

We did this run yesterday morning, it felt quite hard, but we did it. Looking at the schedule there are four 25 minute runs in a row, I think the first one should be hard and then it should improve by the end of next week as we get fitter, here’s hoping

You're doing amazing. I'm just on week 3. Doing ok, but dreading those weeks with the long runs. Can't imagine being able to run for 25 minutes.

Well done you.
