Delighted to be back to a run with some walking. W5R3 was horrendous. I’m looking forward to W6R2 but everything after that looks awful. At what point does this get enjoyable? The walking bits I like. The running parts are tough & getting tougher.

Good news is that I’ve lost weight though. 9lbs since wk1. Down from almost 17st....!!

What do you mean by everything beyond run 2 of week 6 looks awful?, once you have completed run 3 of week 6 you will be officially a runner, just take all those longer runs slowly, nothing awful about them.

Short runs seem to suit me + a bit of walking. I’m dragging myself around these longer jogging stints at the moment. At what point does anything 10+ mins become enjoyable?

That is the toxic ten, perhaps you could run a little slower, that way you should enjoy your runs including runs longer than ten minutes.

If you want to punish yourself, push hard.

If you would like to enjoy it, slow down.

Honestly, I could walk faster than I’ve been jogging on some of these longer runs. And the shorter run stints have been done very slowly. I’m not sure if pacing myself is the answer....
