Week 8 complete.

The end of the programme is within arms reach 😱

Today I decided to only track the run part rather than my usual of including the warm up and cool down walks, as I wanted to see how far I got within the 28mins.

I reached the end of the 28mins and could see I hadn’t made the 5k (3.1mile) mark... felt like I could keep going, so did.

So did a total of just under 36mins and reached the 5km 🙂 pretty pleased with this. I don’t really know if this time or pace is good, but I don’t really care 🤷🏻‍♀️ just feel like this is such an achievement for me!

I think I will be sticking to week 9 with the time goals of 30mins; but I already know once I finish the programme, my target of each run will change from a time goal to a distance goal of 3X 5km per week. Quite excited - but quite nervous at the thought of running without Michael in my ear!

You are doing brilliantly and at such a good pace. 😄 Stick to the last part of the program to reduce risk of injury.

Have you spotted that there is a consolidation group on here for you to share how you are doing with other new graduates? 😄

As for missing Michael- lots of people use W9 for consolidation of 3x 30 mins & then in other ways too - e.g. you could use W1 as a jog slow/ run faster work out instead of run/ walk. - Lots of choice for you soon! 😄

Thank you Elfe5... I have no idea what’s a good or bad pace - but pleased :)

Yes I will stick to the plan for the remaining week - I’ve just had this urge to see how long it takes to get to the 5k mark :)

I hadn’t spotted this group... I will have a nosy - sounds great that there’s something for after graduation!

Thank you for your great ideas there! I clearly have no imagination! I love the sound of using the programme but adapting to slow/fast instead of walking! 100% going to do this!!

Have a look at the Nike Run Club App, there are lots of coached runs on there from short to long and its free with no in app purchases :-)

I also used week 9 to consolidate for a while and the 3 other C25K+ podcasts but have settled on the Nike app for now.
