I needed to get this run done today to stay on track so decided to go for it! Exhilarating to be out in the elements...
I have a question though. Where I live is very hilly and usually the first half of my walk/run is up some pretty steep hills and, not surprisingly, I struggle quite a bit. Inevitably the second half of my run is usually downhill and it gets a lot easier. Only really small sections are flat and I actually enjoy those the most. There’s not really anyway to avoid hills but am I doing this right - hard on the way out and easy on the way back?

Thank you for the advice. I’ll have a read of the guide.
I am definitely more wary going downhill as it feels like it would be easy to hurt myself! I have to remind myself to slow down but hopefully if I’m careful it’ll be ok.
Can't answer your Q coz I'm still on w1 but just wanted to say kudos to you running in the storm! 👍
I think some might call it stupidity but I find it so easy to stop exercising if I don’t stick to a routine. I’m determined not to do that this time. How are you finding week one? It was tougher than I thought but I was missing it today with the slightly longer runs! 🤣
You can do this however you like, I personally chose to jump in the car and drive to flat areas until I graduated. Even now 6 months on if its tricky weather - like today, I drive to flat. Happy running
