Jet lag run

So back into this running thing after two week away and no running. 7 hour jet lag not great so decided to do Week 6 to get back into it. That was fine although feet are sore. Never had that before but used same shoes as I didn’t want to risk the shiny new ones I got on holiday. 😆.

Glad to be out there in the sun before storm tomorrow I believe.

Question is how to ramp up again to 30 min? I did increase the pace on the last 5 minute stint so felt happy with that. What do you think peeps?

I’d try a W7 next, and if ok then W8, etc. And where’s the shoe porn? I love to see shiny new shoes 👍😁

Thank you for advice! I will do that W7 next then. After the storm I think, so that will be Tuesday. Yes the shoes 👟- I drooled today so they will get first airing on Tuesday 🤣!

Glad you are returned safe and sound before the storm. I wd do the week 7 if you felt good with week 6 and managed to speed up🏃‍♀️. Baton down the hatches for tomorrow! 🌫🌬

Just typed a post reply and poof gone into the mists. Shouldn’t try to multitask 🤣. Anyway I did feel good and the feet will improve I’m sure- not the usual tendons 🦶🏃‍♀️. Stay safe for the storm. In 1987 we took refuge in the Thames tunnel so don’t want a repeat horror. Here’s to W7 next 😊

Sometimes the first run back is the toughest, I'm sure as you get back in to your running routine everything will be back to how you felt before 😁😁

It did feel a bit unreal to start with but no after effects this morning! Hope you are not too blown about. It’s wild on South Coast 🤭.

I'm up in Scotland. We had about 3 hours of really strong winds and rain yesterday. This morning the wind is picking up again. 😊

Haven’t dared to step outside! Local site reporting flying trampolines 😂

Yes I can believe it. My daughters had a trampoline years ago and I used large steel pegs to hold it in place , never moved an inch.

Were as someone up the street theirs went flying through the air halfway down the street and hit a parked car. So yes be aware😊
