Like you I started the programme in the gym and moved outside around week 4. My advice to would be to go very slow - the treadmill runs feel faster so there's a temptation to set off too fast when you move outside. You won't get as sweaty so that's a bonus.
Oh exciting! My advice would be to wear layers, so that you can remove something if you get too warm. It is chilly at the moment, but surprising how quickly you warm up when running (I always used to overdress in winter!)
Most of all, take it slow and enjoy. I much prefer running outdoors. So many distractions/things to look at on your run. 👍 Have a great run. 😁
Go slowly, there's nothing to regulate your pace except you. Expect it to be physically harder and don't be disappointed. Wear the right clothes - I get this wrong more often than I get it right, although I am slowly improving. Layers are good because they give you more options. Check out your route; I'm assuming you're not going to Africa, but you don't want to find yourself confronting Mount Kilimanjaro!
Enjoy the freedom and the pleasure of being in the world! Good luck.
I have never run on a treadmill so not really sure how different it is. But for outside running, just watch out for tripping hazards like tree roots etc and don't try to go too fast. It's lovely running outdoors on a sunny winter morning, maybe you'll be a convert!
