Hi everyone! It’s been absolutely ages since I’ve posted on here as I’ve fallen away from running in the last few months.... I completed C25K at the start of September (it took the best part of 6 months but I got there in the end!!) and was so determined to keep it up. A few days later we relocated to California and I continued running on the treadmills in the gym of the apartment block we were staying in. However, once we moved to our permanent home, getting out there became more difficult (I won’t bore you with the details!) and the bottom line is I haven’t run since the end of October 😳 But I’m determined to get back out there, which leads me to my question....
I was thinking of starting again, maybe from W5R3? Or would that not be advisable given how long it’s been since I’ve run. I guess it’ll come down to how I feel when I try but I know there’s a lot of experienced runners on here so wanted to see what you thought. Thanks in advance (and apologies for the long winded post 😂) xx

I would advise you to start at week 3, as you have not been off running for more than 4 months and have used a treadmill you don't need to go back to week 1.
Well done for wanting to get back onto the C25K horse and re-starting the adventure. My situation is different to yours, I only got to the end of W3 before stopping and I only stopped for about 6 weeks before restarting, but I decided to start right from the very beginning and was glad that I did, because this time I managed to complete all of the runs until I got to the start of W4, which was much better than my first attempt! Why not start at W1, if you find that easy jump to W2 and keep doing that until you find a level that's challenging? It may add a few days to the procedure but really, does that matter in the grand scheme of things? I don't think so. Whatever happens good luck with it all and I hope you enjoy yourself.
Just pick a great route.... nothing too challenging...and head out for an Irishprincess jogette
Don't focus on time or distance.... just head out, slow and steady, and listen to what your body is telling you...it is your very best guide.
If there are no issues and you feel good...then you can make a decision.... Maybe Week 5...?
If it all feels a bit of a struggle, then do as many of us have done, either as a comeback after injury or just life getting in the way...... begin again...it is fun...
You know what is coming, you know you can do it....no pressure, just pure enjoyment...
Thank you everyone for your replies. This is why I love this forum and why it got me through the first time around. Everyone is so friendly and encouraging. I’ve just got to the stage where it’s too easy to make excuses not to get out there! But I will try again. And will keep you posted xx
