Week 1 smashed

Yayy!!! Week 1 is in the bag... been going at 6am so I can be home and showered by 7, ready to start the day with my mini monsters!

I have loved the runs and found myself looking forward to getting out and running. So I’m ready for week 2!

I get weighed at slimming world tomorrow, I’m not expecting it to make much of a difference. I’m rather hoping to lose inches.

Has anyone noticed a difference with inches and weight whilst doing the programme?

Well done. Doesn't it feel good to get that first week under your belt!

Losing inches.... definitely. I started in October and I need a new belt!

Weight not so much. But you'll never lose much weight with running alone.

I think all of my weight loss is down to better diet and huge reduction in alcohol, rather than running. However, both of those things make the running easier and it's the running that helps you lose inches.

So its win / win really.

Keep up the good work and keep posting to let us know your progress

Huge well done you... slow and steady as you go!

Maybe other than your SW check ins, try and ditch the scales... link this plan with a healthy eating regime... get those runs in... some strength and stamina work on some of your rest days and start to feel the benefits.

As this is not a weight loss programme you may or may not lose weight( healthy eating regime accepted), but I feel as many of us do, that you will feel tighter and tauter and leaner and keener:)

Are they your own mini monsters or a whole class full ?

Strength and stamina work... please can you point me in the right direction for this or some links maybe?!

They are my own mini monsters... my son is 2 and 1/2 and my daughter has just gone 1!

I’m back to my pre baby weight now with slimming world and want to keep doing that as it keeps me on track, but I’m already loving doing this along side. As I can work it around my family.

Hi, you are a run ahead of me but it's nice to find someone at a similar stage.

I have lost 25 kilos with SW since October and regular walking has helped with some of that. It has definitely put me in a place where I can even consider C25K. Well done on W1 completed, I have a pacemaker to make sure I keep going now!

Ohh fab I have been looking for someone in the same spot as me!!

Well done you on the weight loss. (I’m rubbish at kilos, I work in stones and pounds) I have lost 3st 9lb so far and would like another stone off!

I’m wanting to stay doing slimming world as I just know where I am with it and like the format!

I have had several fitbits and have always liked them but I recently got an iwatch as it connects with my phone better.

Well done and keep going 👍

I admire your dedication to get going so early in the morning to fit it in around your family life.

Oh thanks. It’s the time that works best. As I’m busy with them through the day and there daddy is at work. (I’m not quite up to running with a big double buggy yet!)

Then evenings are busy with teas bath time and bed. So when they are in bed that our time to get jobs done and relax! So 6am or nothing! Z
