Hello !

First time talking on here and just wanted to say hi.

I'm on week 3 run 2 and starting to get nervous about the future challenges. Any Tips would be much appreciated, I'm totally new to this

Thanks :)

Welcome along ! Take it slow and steady. If it hurts, slow down more. If you need to repeat, don’t worry: it’s just your body taking time to adjust. Always remember the First Rule of C25k: The only run you fail is the run you don’t go for ! And have fun out there x

I'm just one run ahead of you but my experience so far (for what it is worth) is that the C25K runs are very carefully tuned to make the best use of the stamina and endurance that you are building up. Look through these forums and over and over again you see people saying that they didn't think they could do it, but "Surprise!" they managed to complete the week. That is certainly been my experience. Next week always seems more ominous than this week, but your stamina is increasing with each run and you will be able to do it - just keep the speed down and don't get out of breath.

I clicked onto your post to hopefully add my thoughts but the three above seem to have covered just about everything! The only thing I will add it to be active here on the forum. It's a great community and you will get nothing but sound advice and support. Good luck with the rest of it and do let us know how it goes.

Welcome to the gang!

So you're doing absolutely the right thing by posting here. We'll all help you through.

You've already got great advice above and you'll find that the best piece of advice is to slow down and, if you're struggling, go slower! It's not cheating, you're still doing it!

Trust in the program and trust in yourself.

We'll help with the rest.

Completely agree with fellow posters above, keep it slow and steady.

I was equally nervous of what appeared to be big leaps in running durations, but ( now on week 6) I have seen that the programme prepares us for what is ahead and we can do it.

Be confident, and enjoy it.
