Hip ache much improved, so going to dip my toe back in this evening. But a question, fellow trotters. Shall I redo w5r1, drop back a week, or crack on with w5r2?
Advice please 🏃♀️👍

I'd say have another go at W5 R1, you know you've already done that one, then see how it goes. If you manage it, the carry on to R2 & so on. If you find it too difficult, you can decide to either drop back to W4, or have another go at it next time, but take things more slowly. (Once you've tried it you will know where you are). I've been told that you only start to loose fitness when you do nothing for a couple of weeks so in theory, you'll be fine, but I just think that repeating the last run you did would be good for restoring your self-confidence. Good luck with it and let us know how you get on.
Remind us, where we’re you when you stopped and how was that last run?
Hiya. Last run was w5r1. Run itself was fine, in its usual challenging way. It was the achy hip that was the issue
I’d go for run 2. You can repeat it or drop back if it doesn’t feel right but I expect you’ll do well for the rest!
I’d just go for run 2👍 You completed run 1 and 5 rest days isn’t anything worth worrying about. I would, however, be aware of your hip and if it starts hurting stop
An ache is one thing but I wouldn’t want you to get injured. Good luck with whatever you decide 🍀👍
As it states in the guide to the plan, you will lose next to no discernible condition in the first two weeks of non running.
Pick up where you left off.
Thanks for the advice all. I cracked on with run2 in the end. It was tough, but I got there & hip seems fine... 🏃♀️👍
