Contemplating repeating this week as not sure I'm ready to step it up a notch! Only just managed 3 minute runs, any thoughts?

It doesn’t harm to repeat, but if you completed it you should be ready to move on. If you’re struggling at all try to slow down a bit - you’ll hear that a lot 👍😁

I’ve completed any weeks when I feel I’m not ready to move it up a notch. I’ve repeated R2 of Wk5 three times now and today felt that I finally got it without returning to walking too soon. So Wednesday it’s Wk5 R3 here I come

You do what you need to. It’s YOUR C25K

If you managed them you’ve done it, but repeat if it will raise your confidence

The longer the runs got the slower we got until we realized that our slow is faster than our fast was in the beginning

Good luck whatever you decide

I felt like that Friday W3R3 and thought the same, decided to attempt W4 R1 and see how i go, all i will say is try R1, push yourself and see how it goes, if you think no then stop, do the cooldown and either try again or re do a session or two from W3. I was surprised, knackered but surprised, The first five minute run when you complete it is a fantastic feeling, but I did slow my pace right down, can always speed up when fitter.

I'd give week 4 a go if you actually completed w3r3. By the time of your next run, your body will have adapted to the stress from your last one. Totally up to you though, it's your journey.

I'm not just copying Wenderwoo but would say it doesn’t harm to repeat, but if you completed it you should be ready to move on. If you’re struggling at all try to slow down a bit - you’ll hear that a lot 👍😁! I know that for me the biggest hurdle is believing that I can do the runs otherwise I'll out-psyche myself before I start. I have found W4 R1 a challenge before, but and still grinning from ear to ear today after finally completing it this morning. I had to slow my pace (even more) to be able to complete the longer runs (and with less recovery walking time in-between) but I have proved that it's possible. I'd say do what I did on Saturday and have a go at W4 R1 and see how you get on. You may find that you can do it (at a slower pace) or if (like me) you can't, treat it as a practice and carry what you've learned (slow down even more for me) into the next attempt. Good luck with it and let us know how you get on.

Not what you're looking for?
