W7 R1 Done - but only just !

Really struggled from the off today - as soon as I got outside my nose decided to be the only thing running properly !!

From the very first minute I just couldn't get my breathing right and that continued the whole way round.

But ran my 25 minutes and whilst my pace was down it wasn't down as much as I thought it would be and my recovery is pretty quick now.

So, 25 minutes done again, and I guess that even though I was out of sync today to still get round and not want to die shows how much progress I have made so well pleased with myself !!

Right I'm off to phone the medal shop !!!

Nice one Richard. Bet you never thought you'd be doing that just a few short weeks ago.

Ps my nose runs constantly when I run

Great job ☺

Strange how on some days it just won't come together. I think persisting like this puts your brain into some kind of problem solving mode, though, there in the background, as you go about your day. When you come back, somehow everything's fixed, and off you go again. I suppose the other plus from this is it confirms that if you meet obstacles you can now push through using sheer bloody mindedness. Well done for not just giving up just because you met a bit of opposition.

You know what Noaky12, I remember running for 5 minutes thinking how tired I was feeling.

And if you had asked back the day before I started C25K, I would have laughed out loud saying, 'I'm not a runner' !!

I started this journey on July 25th and to imagine in a just a few short weeks..... it's unbelievable really !

Thanks Gary, I may not be blessed with talent but I am certainly one that you would want with you in the trenches.

Bloody mindedness, determination and spirit by the bucket load.

When I play sport I am known as a bit of a warrior !!

Don't worry about pace, getting round is the main thing. I really struggled on week 7 - you're doing brilliantly.
