Congratulations on starting C25K, you don't need to be scared, just take all the runs slowly, drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration, you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to, good luck.

How do you do that on the app?

You just tap "repeat run" on the week you want to repeat, I am a Graduate of C25K and often for reruns I repeat runs 5.3, 6.3 and 9,3 for a bit of practice,

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on pacing which will make it much easier..........I bet you couldn't talk while you were running......which you should be able to do

Enjoy your journey.

Welcome, and well done on completing the first week. Move on, take it slowly, and you might surprise yourself 👍😁

So you've done really well and are ready to move on to week 2. Try it - you will probably surprise yourself. Those week 2 runs have almost certainly prepared you enough.

Just because you found it hard doesn't mean you're not ready, unless you are injured, because running is a bit hard - it's all new and your body is getting used to it.

Good luck. You can always repeat runs of course if you need to!

I’m 63 and realised I’m not fit at all I can walk for miles and miles but to run is really hard x

If you regularly walk that will be a real bonus I think - but running is so different! Have self belief- so many forum members are in this age group including me. Really good luck!

Oh and do keep it slow

Everyone on the forum says the same - very slow!

Hi. I’m 63 too and started C25K in September last year. Never run before in my life! And now I do 2 x5-6k runs every week plus a Parkrun with my son. I might not always love the running bit and I’m useless at settling into a good pace that I can sustain (hoping this will come with experience!) but I love the buzz afterwards!! And I’m so excited waiting for my Parkrun result text. You can do it and it’s really worthwhile!! This site is brilliant for lots of helpful advice and support. Good luck!!!

Well done that's fantastic. You can start to trust the programme now! It is hard but that's sort of the point I suppose, but the programme develops fitness and resilience. You will be running for gradually longer periods and will surprise yourself!

That first week was hard.

The body is just not used to this!!

But it really does get easier. And you get to a point where you look forward to meeting the target knowing it is all getting better - and you are getting fitter.

Ive just finished week 1 as well and it isnt that easy. I think we have to just be determined to keep at it and it will get easier? Good luck!
