Hi newbie here. Just completed week 2 run 2 but had to run it on bumpy sports pitch and found it hard with my legs feeling like lead. Does anyone know if it's harder running on grass?

My wild guess would be yes - it would make sense that it would be harder to run on bumpy grass... congrats on finishing with lead legs! That must have been hard!

I find grass surface really difficult and prefer pavements. I'm told hard surfaces aren't good for knees but I'm happier with knowing what I'm going to land on. Personal preference really, so try both!

Good luck and let us know how you get on .

Yes, it's harder work on the legs as the surface yields underfoot like running through treacle

Try and run in a mix of surfaces if poss. See if you have a local park with made surfaces. Compressed woodland trails are lovely on the legs.
