Hey guys im gonna run my week 5 run. 2 tmw and honesty im very anxious. I completed week 5 run 1 with suprising ease but that 8 min run seems challenging and that 20 min run on run 3 seems impossible. Any tips and advice on it would be much appreciated:)

I'm about to do the same tmw aswell. Daunting as it seems all I have is positive mental attitude to get in under the belt. For me it's the first 5 minutes that's a struggle then everything seems to just work out..legs move, breathing is good. I'm going to make sure my playlist isnt too up beat so I'll be slow and controlled..that's my plan! Good luck with it.

Same old advice - take it slowly! You’re not alone, I think most people approach this week with trepidation. But also most people achieve it first time, and those that don’t tend to be going to fast, and achieve it once they slow down! It’s a mental battle, and by doing it super slowly the battle tends to be won 👍😁

Run 3 of week 5 is not impossible, all your runs up to this milestone run have been preparing you for it, take both run 2 and especially that 20 minute run of week 5 especially slow and steady, once you have completed it you will feel very proud of yourself, good luck.

I did the week 5 run 2 this evening. I too was very apprehensive and not at all sure I could do 8 mins. However I smashed it. I did a really gentle steady pace and that seemed to work. I am now looking forward to smashing 20mins at next run. It's all about believing in yourself. You are better than you think.

Look forward to hearing how it goes. I’m also doing mine tomorrow! Haven’t decided what time I’ll be going.
