Hi folks , just thought I’d pop on a little message I’ve been trying to get to grips with the c25k for about a year if I’m honest I keep doing a few runs then stopping , no time , too busy , usual excuses. But now I’m a week in and feeling positive , a bit apprehensive about week 2. As I’m only just managing to do the 60 second runs of week 1. ... but giving it a go .... a msg to newbies out there .... keep going. ....

Fab! Well done, you!! Focus on the run to be done and have faith. Take it gently and, as Laura says, ..."remember not to go too fast. It's just a light jog..." 😊

Well, you are back at it and that’s the main thing! It is perfectly natural to worry about the week ahead, but try not to...the plan is gently progressive, as you know, so although you might have found the 60 second runs hard, that doesn’t mean you will find the step up to the next week any harder. Sure it might be hard, but tell yourself you WILL do it. 👍😁 Slow it right down if you have to, but finish the run. The sense of achievement is well worth it, and a hard effort means you will reap the rewards! Much of running is in your head, so plan when you are going to run, tell yourself it is “non-negotiable”, and take each one slow but steady! This technique got me through C25K, then 10k training, then half marathon training...I still find some of my training hard, but like I said, much of success is in the head, so believe you can do it and you will I reckon! All the best. 👍

Don’t worry about week 2 you sound pretty positive about it and as long as you follow the program your body will adapt to the running. Good luck with the c25k .
