Hi just completed W1 R1 really enjoyed it and feeling proud of myself. Doing it on a treadmill in the garage as part of a 30 day fitness challenge where I am aiming to do at least 20 minutes of exercise each day so planing to intersperse my runs with a little yoga or walking on the alternate days. Can I ask does anyone else do this or do you have exercise free rest days in between? Also eventually would love to have a go at running outside but a little embarrassed to do that will need to build up to it. How do you all do yours? A treadmill or on the street?

Great for getting started, I run outside and have no experience of a treadmill but there are a few on here who do use it.

I always to lots of walking every day. You can do walking , swimming or yoga etc on rest

days as long as it's not high impact like running.

Don't be afraid of running outdoors , as I always say when I used to see people running before I started I had nothing but admiration for them and would say to myself , I wish I could do that . So i did.

Good luck 😊😊

Thank you, yes I want to keep doing some kind of movement each day to get a routine going even if just a walk to work. Have such admiration for those who run in the open and would love to do it one day

Hi roadrunner I pretty much exercise every day but only run every other and nothing to excessive just 30mins a time. As for the treadmill I do both outdoor and treadmill. I’ve only recently started outdoor running as I felt the same as you do and realized after getting outside there’s is nothing to be embarrassed or worried about. I much prefer outdoor running now but the treadmill comes in handy for short runs and when the weather is really bad. Good luck with the c25k .

I have always run outside in the dark, not sure what I will do in spring/summer. 😕 I have only had a few pure rest days as I have a dog that needs a lot of walking but think they did me good.
