I am currently on week six, legs feel a little tight, though I am stretching and went outside do do my first run instead of using a treadmill, oh my word I couldn’t get my breath!! Can’t understand why I can run on a treadmill and not outside!! Any thoughts?

I’m still on a treadmill too and not made the transition, I read that putting your treadmill in a slight incline helps so did that in week 5 and omg that set me back but am making progress. Going on holiday in week 8 so will have to run on road or beach 🏖 argh, sure you’ll get it sorted good luck 😉

Your brain is a creature of habit. It doesn't like being taken out of its comfort zone. Try again. Go slowly and pick a nice, flat route.

Thanks for your advise I will try slowling and running on the flat. It is rather hilly here.

I think I t is much easier on a treadmill, there is more resistance on a path, plus wind etc. On the other hand, the run seems to go quicker outside as there is more to think about. It is beautiful where I run so it feeds my soul, too. The important thing is to do it, wherever you can. Good luck!

No reason why not..other than you may not believe you can:)

Just find a route that you think you will enjoy... relax, breathe, and take it as slow as you care to...look around... take it gently and feel the new running legs begin to find their happy pace... There is so, so much to enjoy out there:) Plus, a great time of the year to begin an adventure in the wild, wide and wonderful world:)
