Ok so I struggled on R1 and had to walk for the last 2 runs due to shin pains. I watched the Chinese slow jog video and was pumped to try it hoping it would solve my problem. What am I doing wrong it hurt even worse today and I could only run twice due to the pain and then had to just walk home.

Hi, do you stretch before each run?

Mmmm that’s probably a good question. Probably not good enough, but thought that’s what the 5 min walk was to help with warming up 🤦🏽‍♀️

I believe the warm up walk is to help bring your heart rate up a little before you start running. Try looking up some good stretches for runners. I even do some on my off days. I did get shin splints on my first run and stretching seemed to help for run 2

Thank you so much I will definitely do that. I was so disappointed as energy wise I definitely could have run more than I did.

There a link to warm up exercises in the How to post.....they differ from the cool down stretches for which there is also a link 😁
