Just finished my second run of the week, I actually found it a little more difficult than the first one but I got through it, guess it’ll take a while to get used to.
On the plus side it wasn’t just a straight decline from start to finish, I’d have a difficult minute, then the next one would be better. I definitely need better running shoes though, the pavement really does my legs in and I doubt I could do more than a minute at a time like this.

Hey 👋🏽! Well done for completing run 2! That’s brilliant. You might be going a bit faster than needed. I would aim to slow it right down. What your building is stamina and the slower the better for that! You will naturally pick up pace as you go along, but think slow and go slower. You can do it!! You will do it!! Well done! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽❤️
Well done for starting couch to 5K, I actually think day 2 was the hard bit as you already know what your leaving the house 🏡 to do. So it shows your already committing yourself to this.
I also did wk 1 run 2 tonight and found it easier than run 1 but I’d done an exercise class earlier which was a big mistake! I’ve found running on grass easier and less stressful on my old bones! Well done you!!!! 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️⭐️⭐️
Well done. Yes it’s worth going to a proper running shop where they do a gait analysis so they sell you shoes to fit your running style. Some people find they get through to week 4 with cheap trainers but for me the first run of week 2 was the limit - I went in to Run4it in. Dundee the next day. Expensive, but worth it because I would have stopped running otherwise.
I’ve got trainers I got from Run4it in Dundee years ago and because of lack of use they’re like new. I got all the gear and never ran! 🤬. Once I get further into it I’m going to get reassessed and see if mine are still fit for purpose (being old fashioned doesn’t justify buying a new pair! ) 😔
