I really didn’t want to do this run today but I have made myself a promise not to miss a run and if I didn’t go this morning then I wouldn’t have gone! So after some serious procrastination- and Ollie constantly clawing at me to go out - off we went. The uphill start was not helped by the gusty Gale blowing down the lane 💨 but we made it to the top. Ollie looked as spry as ever - I imagine I looked half dead!!!!
This was not an easy run!!! It was amazing to get to the turnaround tree and still be able to put one foot in front of the other. I seriously considered lumbering home without another 90sec run but stuck to it and smiled all the way to the bottom of the hill at the end!!!
I didn’t expect this to be easy at all but I remember last time getting to week 4 before any of it felt normalish - not natural but normal.
Anyway, I’m doing it and I’m determined to finish this plan!!!
Good luck everyone heading out today 🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️

It might not have been easy but you did it and that's all that matters. Even if you hadn't, it would have been a useful practice. I always think there's more to enjoy when something has been a challenge but you managed it anyway 🙂. Enjoy your next runs!
Lovely to be hearing about the turnaround tree again 😊Well done, another one ticked off ✅
I did a horrible 3km this morning... running in the road to avoid the snow and black ice on the pavements. It was the run that was horrid tho’ 😖 too tired, too much in my head, not enough water, too much wine last night 🤷♀️ My runs are still very variable as I did my first sub 35min 5km in the week which was great. I don’t think I’ll ever crack 30 mins. 😆
Thanks CazzaW. The late night and wine last night definitely had an effect but at least we were both out there. I’m actually looking forward to Tuesday and run 2 of this week. I can’t wait to be running 5km without passing out hahahahaha.
Well done! The rule I always used to have was I was allowed to not want to go. I was just not allowed to give in to the feeling. Funnily enough, by the time I’d got out and got started I was (almost) always in the mood to continue.
Well done on completing second run of week 2! It’s so easy to put it off! 👏👏I did my first run of week 2 today. Went ok was really tired at the end though. Have been really trying to go slow and this helped.
That’s brilliant. Well done 🎉🎉🎉🎉. I really find once I’m out and going it’s grand - although the actual running is exhausting hahahaha - it’s trying to get motivated that’s the hardest thing. This was my first run of week 2 so we are plodding through this together. You are doing brilliant 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
