Completed my week 1 run 1 today. Tried to do this a few years back and gave up due to hip pain but after facing a milestone bday last year( 50th) felt I needed to push myself out of comfort zone. I’m going to try harder this time 😄

Well done, i'm still relatively new (starting week 3 tomorrow) but main thing i've learned, did and it worked - was go slow if its getting sore.

Good luck with the rest of the programme - this chat works wonders for motivation.

Well done for making a start. The same milestone birthday also spurred me into action! Good luck, you can do it!

And to you too! Have you ran before?

A couple of years ago I did but I went too hard too quick. Ran almost every day (not far or fast)for about 8 weeks and got shin splints! 😔 Gonna take it much easier this time!

Good luck then! I’ve been a fast walker for a long time so everyone told me I won’t notice much difference in stepping up a pace but I’ll reserve judgement for the moment 😂
