Dodging the rain that's hitting us at the mo I got up at 4am and did the 1st run of week 2, well chuffed with myself now. The app crashed and I couldn't remember how many runs I'd done lol ended up doing an extra one and still standing so taking the win. And no rain so didn't got soaked as yet to get myself a waterproof jacket
Happy Sunday everyone

Huge well done you... I am waiting for to to abate as we speak!
Slow and steady as you go and take a look at some of the Ron Hill lightweight, breathable waterproof jackets... lots of bargains there. ( Other brands too).
I am sure we shall have more rain... and snow.... and hail...
Well done you, and well done for taking the lead in the nocturnal running stakes! I thought I was dedicated/mad getting up at 5 AM in the week to do my runs before getting ready for work but you've well & truly pulled the rug out from under my feet there with your start time! With regard to jackets, I use a lightweight waterproof cyclists jacket (which I bought from Aldi - other discount supermarkets are available). It's Hi-Viz green with additional reflective stripes (essential for when I go out), it has generous pockets that I can use to stash my running hat & running gloves (also from Aldi!) once I'm up to full operating temperature and even more importantly, it zips up the front so I can easily lower that to let out the steam once I start to overheat! Good luck with the rest of your runs.
I've been getting up at 5am to do my runs, today was earlier as the weather forecast said heavy rain at 5am, I didn't want to fail cos of getting wet lol back to 5 again tomoz for strength and flex exercise so more chilled out lol gotta do it before the kids wake up it it will never get done. Thanks for the Aldi info will go have a looksie see if they have anything online at the moment
