week 9 run 1 - made it to 30 minutes for the first time!

I barely made through those week eight 28 minute runs last week. This was going to be a terrible run - my daughter forgot about her promise to run with me and wasn't home, it was cold, dark and raining, my trusty running-in-the-rain hat had mysteriously vanished in a pre-Christmas tidy and I was going to have to face it ALONE. Aargh. Set off with grim determination and went very slowly. It stopped raining. It gradually got easier instead of harder. I even speeded up a bit for the last 60 seconds. I don't believe it - I kept going for the whole 30 minutes. Came back skipping through my 5 minute cooldown run with a big smile on my face. Neighbours think I'm an idiot. I don't care. Daughter forgiven :)

That’s brilliant news. Congratulations and thanks for the confidence boost. I’m at week 5 and 30 mins seemed impossible so thanks for the reminder, just to keep going.

You can do it. Just have confidence in the programme and take things slowly. Take one run at a time, and you will get there. :)
