Just decided to take it easy , no toxic 10 , no clock watching and only a passing interest in Joβs timekeeping . Just seemed to be going for a ride on my legs . A faster runner glided past and I just turned up my cadence a bit and stayed with him for a while ( still breathing easily ) then eased off for Mrs Steve to catch up . A great feeling and when my legs get stronger I know the times will get better but I now know that there is absolutely no rush - it will happen . Two months ago I was a heavy smoker with BP problems , this program and the fantastic people on here are immense.
Plan is :-
Park run with my eldest Granddaughter ( She is 13 so will probably not have time π)
New year : Graduate and Consolidate
Ju Juβs magic 10 - Feb to April
Summer :- 10 MIles ( There is a cross Bahrain Island run 16 K in November)
Happy new year running everyone ππ»ββοΈππ»ββοΈππ»ββοΈ

You have added one more run in front of me due to my jet lag! I quit smoking a couple of months ago as well, seems like a distant memory now and I cannot believe how far I have come in such a short time. Well done and hereβs to us both graduating in January π
I hope so , just have to look after this body a bit . There are so many inspirational people on here that it is hard not to get motivated . Age is definitely not a factor here ππ
