Quite enjoyed it but came in last so next goal is to improve my time. May do another in a month after doing some speedier km intervals

No, you didn't come in last, the tailwalker at a parkrun comes in last, perhaps you had a nice little conversation with the tailwalker, I am so pleased for you today that you enjoyed your first parkrun, well done 😀 🏃🏾.

Doesn't matter where you came . This time last year did you think you'd be out and running at a park run 👏👏

Well done on your first PR, isn’t it fun! Don’t worry about your time though- my first was 52 minutes and after 9 PRs it’s still 50 minutes on average. Like you my goal for next year is to bring it down - aiming for 45 minutes and then maybe 40, we’ll see! It’s a very different New Year’s Resolution for me that’s for sure! Good luck with your progress!

Yes planning to do some shorter faster runs, maybe 1 or 2 k and try and do them in 10 mins and build up from there.

Dead chuffed at finishing the park run, running all the way which is down to C25k. Youre right, that is more important than speed

Congrats and well done on doing your first parkrun. Don’t worry about waiting a month and doing some extra training before going back. I run twice during the week and always do parkrun on Saturday morning. I even got an extra one in on Christmas Day. It’s a great way of monitoring your progress and you will naturally improve and get faster. Over time I managed to knock 15 minutes off my finish time. It’s also a great way to meet new friends and become part of an amazing community.

Well done. I've registered. Not done one yet though 😂 Did you go straight into the running or did you do a 5 minute walk at the beginning? X
