For more than 10 years now, around the month of December, it has been commonplace for those 5K Santa Dash runs to take part in towns and cities all over the country, they are what they call "fun runs", usually in aid of charities, they cost around £10 to £15 to enter, for that you get a Santa outfit to wear for the run, some DON'T register your time at the end so it's better for you to time yourself at the start if you are after a PB, it would be a bit frustrating at the end of a Santa run not to know what your time was if you were after a PB.

Yesterday at the Glasgow Santa Dash 5K run there were around 7,000 runners, no time was given at the end of the run unless you timed yourself, unlike my local 5K Santa Dash when all the runners did have an official time.
