I'm falling for you baby...

Life can be tricky, but when something came up that just makes everything work... I couldn't help falling...

Running I think I love you...

So- lets take today as an example:

I was on call last night so didn't sleep much.. But all I did was look forward to my run.. One o'clock, two o'clock... Four o'clock... Oh hello cody's up ( our cock)... Im thinking...Run... Run... Pounding the path.. I'm free ... I'm a panther ( I know, but I can dream)... 6 o'clock.. That's it I'm up...

This morning I make Mr Juicyju a cappuccino from his ridiculously intense machine... He threw it away ' it's not very frothy is it' F*** it I'm not going to bother again ... So

Kit on, lad up, lips vaselined, sweatbands on, water bottle filled, panther fuel on board..

Off we go...

Finally ...I'm free, I'm happy, the c*** dissipates... I feel strong and powerful, flipping heck it's hard but that's so so good too...

Just to cover an amazing distance, my legs, my body... This very nearly 43 year old... Who would have thought!!!

I was able to chat to my best boy who started secondary school this week. I got the lowdown which I would never have outside of our running time... I so love him..

We did 17k ( got to do big ones for the juicyju HM training thing)

It was hard but just so fantastic I want to run till the day I die!!!

I want to do it every day it's so addictive... It really helps with every part of life.. And yes I think I'm in love.... Big time!!

And I'm eating stacks and it doesn't matter ( I really really love food... And wine)

Only downside ( I never ever thought I'd say this) but I miss my big bum... It's been with me all my life and it's had a lot of attention!! And now its just a bit of wobble and loads of muscle... But hey that's a small price!!

It's still love...

I know so many of you feel the same way and that's just amazing...

Happy panthering

Juicyju

X

Well done! I'm aiming to do 17km next Sunday.it is surprising how fun the longer distances, at a more comfortable pace, can be.

Oh WOW, what an amazing post!

I'm actually lost for words...you are so passionate, it shines through every word and you describe your feelings so, so well.

Imagine if everyone could feel that way about something - what an incredible change there would be in the world.

Wow, just wow - not just a panther but a running, blogging goddess!xx

I laughed out loud when you said you missed your bum. Roll on the day I can say the same!! Well if I get to love running as much as you obviously do, that day mighy just arrived.

I have had both my sons commenting this week on how proud they are of me for keeping going - best comment they could make to ensure I DON'T stop! Thank you lads.

.... There is absolutely nothing better than hearing that from your boys... Makes it all worthwhile.... I never thought I'd miss my big arse but I really do... It was a cushion, it felt sexy because it wobbled and it liked to make an entrance!!!!

Hey JuicyJu. You are indeed a smitten kitten and slightly nutty but it wouldn't be the same without you...

Cappuccinos are over-rated - enjoy your next run ;-)

I miss mine too. It was small to start with, but now it doesn't even keep my pants up!! there are further reaching consequences to this running thing that I never considered.

Oh dear... I take it you mean your bum??!!!! Yes so many far reaching consequences which are amazing....

Thankyou... And we all have our inner panther, we just have to find it... I found mine in a running blog..

The cody comment made me spit out my mineral water......then I realised you meant cockerel.

A poetic and most beautiful post JuJu, though how on Earth you can run 17 flamin' kilometres makes me feel shaky. Well done you. Oh! By the way, I'm sure you have photo's of your ex BUM you can salivate over in the years to come. Better to have a toned one than a blancmange don't you think?

They call her Juicy Ju. The runner with BUNS OF STEEL!!

ju-ju- profile image
ju-ju-Graduate in reply to danzargo

Ha ha yes Cody is a handful!!... And thankyou, yes I prefer my buns of steel, far more efficient... And yes lots of pics, but now a new era of photography to explore!!!!

Hope your groin is bearing up? Don't work too hard!

Aww thanks Ianno!!... I was going to ask if you could recommend any runs in Devon?? I live in Bristol but work in Devon and I stay over 2 nights a week near crediton and I've yet to find some good runs.. And I remember you saying you lived in Devon?? I'm desperate to find some for when I stay...

IannodaTruffe profile image

I live in Crediton, Ms Ju. Where are you staying? Pm me if you prefer. I haven't sussed any 17k runs yet because that is another league, as far as I am concerned. I am even having to add loops into my runs to slowly build towards 10k. It just depends where you are.

ju-ju- profile image
ju-ju-Graduate in reply to IannodaTruffe

Oh wow... My cousin and her partner that I stay with actually live just outside sandfird.... They look after me every week but sadly I haven't run there since week 1... I worry about cars and I usually swim at topsham pool or crediton pool which is fab... Do you venture out to the Lamb Inn???

IannodaTruffe profile image
IannodaTruffeMentor in reply to ju-ju-

Hi madam Ju, I just found notification to this lurking in my inbox. I apologise for the non response.

As I said, running around Devon depends on exactly where you are. Some places have loads of good footpaths, others none. Some of the lanes are fine because they are so quiet and/or have good visibility, while others are worse than trying to run down the M5.

I know most of the footpaths in the Crediton/Sandford area so could possibly advise you on routes if you tell me roughly where you are staying.

The Lamb, being just about the best village pub in Devon, is a popular if infrequent port of call of mine. I would be happy to meet up some time to talk running with the Panther Lady. It's your call.

and this is the one where I realised that I'm never going to be a runner - I'm never going to be good enough to keep up.

but then you always were the original panther, the rest of us just hung on.

No ... Not a panther, just a daft middle aged woman who was lucky enough to find something that fulfilled her in so many ways.

I do envy a curvy bottom! Never had one of those myself as I am qujte tall and slim hipped. I am hoping my body ends up sleek like a panthers and possibly a nice muscular bottom. Alas it still won't make an entrance. I shall have to make do with big hair!

ju-ju- profile image
ju-ju-Graduate in reply to kickibro

It sounds like you are already a panther...and I've got rather attached to my more muscular bum and it does still move in tight jeans!!!

If I needed any more motivation to get up off my sorry arse and haul it back out onto the road this afternoon for the middle of Week 6- this was it.

Cheers, juicyju. I don't even care that it's raining. Just another sensation to relish.
