W1R3 in the bag!

Went out on a very cold Scottish night after a long day at work to get my 3rd run in. These are the excuses that would have previously had me saying ‘I’ll go tomorrow’ but I can’t let them hold me back. It helped that I brought my aunt along for her first ever run and she loved it! I couldn’t feel my face at times it was so cold and the track had turned from mud to ice but we did it and she loved it too!

Congratulations on completing week 1 of C25K, glad that you enjoyed your run this evening in the cold moonlight with your aunt, so glad that you did not slip as it was dark.

Onwards and upwards to week 2

Thank you! We went to the local track which isn’t very well lit however I’ve bought a hat with a little light on the front! I look like a UFO 😂

Great you got out even though it's freezing. Runners are made of tough stuff 😊😊

There is no holding you back! Onwards to the next week! I can really see you running in the cold and dark. What a great thing to do!

Well done for completing week 1! I started C25K in the dark & sleet in Feb '17 - my family who couldn't believe what they were seeing, knew just how serious I was about it! I don't like the cold but I hate the heat and my autumn/winter runs are usually the best of the year! Good luck to you and your aunt - you've started something fantastic! 🙂

It's supposed to take 12 weeks of repetitions to form a habit! You seem to have done it in record time.
