My first official timed run went out today, it was cold and raining, all the women went at once, they normally let the 10k go first then the 5k, don’t know my results as yet but thanks for all the words of support and virtual pats on the back, y’all rock👍👍👍wee photo of hubby and youngest at the titanic visitor centre, plus the obligatory random people walking through

Hi cheeky😁glad it’s over, my nerves were shot, why??, I couldn’t say, first major run back after graduating c25k, 4 yr hiatus, still and all I managed to shave 12 seconds off last weeks parkrun time, so I’m pretty pleased with that, I should be 10k ready by crimbo if I take it easy on myself, thanks for the words of support, really needed them👍👍

It was getting a bit torturous to be honest, I had been warned it’s quite a boring run through a concrete jungle and it pretty much was, but I had to restart somewhere, this was a female only event of varying ages and capabilities, at one stage two 12 yr olds came haring past me, I don’t remember ever having that stamina, but 12 seconds off last weeks parkrun, so everything is headed in the right direction 👍
